Interactive 3-D Visualisation of Sonar Data Using VRML

Novel approaches to 3-D volumetric sonar data reconstruction and segmentation are presented. VRMLworlds are generated from the segmented data with the aim of quick and interactive 3-D visualisation and interpretation of the sea oor. VRML simulations of 3-D sonar data are constructed to visually compare the results of di erent segmentation algorithms.
