Case Study: Comprehensive Treatment for Severe Rosacea using Intense Pulse Light and a Novel Non-Ablative 1064Nd:YAG
نویسنده
چکیده
Background Historically, rosacea treatments consisted of prescribing oral antibiotics, steroids, and isotretinoin, focusing more on the immediate eruption of the disease rather than the lasting vascular and fribrotic sequelea. More recently, Intense Pulse Light (IPL) has been shown to aid in the resolution of the vascular telangiectasia and general erythema. To this point, no modality has effectively addressed the fibrotic consequences of this disease process. This case study addresses a rosacea treatment using antibiotics, Intense Pulse Light and a novel non-ablative 1064Nd:YAG (Yttrium, Aluminum, Garnet) laser which shows superior and longer lasting results than treatment from oral and IPL therapy alone. Objective To resolve current rosacea eruption, repair all depths of vascular damage, and improve the fibrotic sequelea of the disease using a combination of oral antibiotics and light therapy.

Treatment of resistant and recurrent Acne Rosacea with Laser: A case report
Acne rosacea is a relatively common disease, which usually manifests in the third and fourth decades of life. It has an inflammatory condition (Papules and pustules) associated with telangiectasis, erythema and sometimes rhinophyma at the end stage of the disease. Pulsed-dye-laser (PDL), which has been designed for treatment of vascular lesions, may be used in treatment of acne rosacea. We pres...

متن کاملThe Efficacy of Intense Pulsed Light for Treating Erythematotelangiectatic Rosacea Is Related to Severity and Age
BACKGROUND Rosacea is a chronic cutaneous disease. Therapeutic modalities should be chosen based on the identified sub-types and clinical features in each patient. Vascular lasers, including intense pulsed light (IPL), are reportedly safe and effective in treating erythematotelangiectatic rosacea (ETR). OBJECTIVE In this study, we assess the comparative efficacy of IPL related to several fact...
