A Micro-Simulation Model Of The Juvenile Justice System In Queensland
نویسندگان
چکیده
The operation of criminal justice systems (broadly the police, the courts and corrections) is a complex and expensive process. Management of these systems depends on some knowledge of the longterm and cross-system impacts of policy changes across the system. Simulation models are valuable tools in the administration of criminal justice systems, providing the ability to project the relative effects of changes to policies based on current system information.

Issues in Juvenile Justice in Queensland: New Laws, Old Visions
ON 4 AUGUST 1992, THE QUEENSLAND PARLIAMENT PASSED THE Juvenile Justice Act 1992 and the Children's Court Act 1992. The legislation, which it is anticipated will be proclaimed in early 1993, repeals the juvenile justice provisions of the Children's Services Act 1965. It provides the legislative framework for the administration of juvenile justice in Queensland, and thus the ethos of this legisl...
متن کاملBiodiesel production from tomato seed and its engine emission test and simulation using Artificial Neural Network
In this study, tomato seed oil was used to produce Biodiesel fuel. To reduce the percentage of free fatty acids, the oil was reacted at a temperature of 40, 50, and 60°C with a mixture of sulphuric acid and the industrial methanol with different molar ratios of oil. The best conversion efficiency was achieved at 60°C and a molar ratio of 1:9. In the transesterification step, biodiesel was produ...
متن کاملEmergency department resource optimisation for improved performance: a review
Emergency departments (EDs) have been becoming increasingly congested due to the combined impacts of growing demand, access block and increased clinical capability of the EDs. This congestion has known to have adverse impacts on the performance of the healthcare services. Attempts to overcome with this challenge have focussed largely on the demand management and the application of system wide p...
متن کاملSimulation of Micro-Channel and Micro-Orifice Flow Using Lattice Boltzmann Method with Langmuir Slip Model
Because of its kinetic nature and computational advantages, the Lattice Boltzmann method (LBM) has been well accepted as a useful tool to simulate micro-scale flows. The slip boundary model plays a crucial role in the accuracy of solutions for micro-channel flow simulations. The most used slip boundary condition is the Maxwell slip model. The results of Maxwell slip model are affected by the ac...
متن کاملThree-Dimensional Simulation of Airflow and Nano-Particle Beam Focusing in Aerodynamic Lenses(RESEARCH NOTE)
In this paper airflow, nano-and micro-particle motions in an aerodynamic particle beam focusing system consisting of several lenses, a nozzle and the downstream chamber, was studied. A three-dimensional numerical simulation for the system was presented and the compressible airflow and thermal conditions in the aerodynamic lens system were evaluated. Dilute particle concentration was assumed so ...
