Estimating Multiple Depths in Semi-transparent Stereo Images
نویسندگان
چکیده
A stereo algorithm that can estimate multiple depths in semi-transparent images is presented. The algorithm is based on a combination of phase analysis and canonical correlation analysis. The algorithm adapts lters in each local neighbourhood of the image in a way which maximizes the correlation between the ltered images. The adapted lters are then analysed to nd the disparity. This is done by a simple phase analysis of the scalar product of the lters. For images with di erent but constant depths, a simple reconstruction procedure is suggested.

متن کاملOptimizing Disparity Candidates Space in Dense Stereo Matching
In this paper, a new approach for optimizing disparity candidates space is proposed for the solution of dense stereo matching problem. The main objectives of this approachare the reduction of average number of disparity candidates per pixel with low computational cost and high assurance of retaining the correct answer. These can be realized due to the effective use of multiple radial windows, i...
متن کاملIntegration of Orbital and Ground Images for Enhanced Topographic Mapping in Mars Landed Missions
To date, orbital and ground image data have been mostly separately processed for topographic mapping in Mars landed missions. We are in the process of developing a method for the integration of orbital and ground image networks to enhance precision mapping. In this research, HiRISE stereo images were used as orbital data while ground data include MER-B Pancam stereo images and their pointing in...
متن کاملThe Stereo Problem
Consider the pair of images in figure 1. At a first glance they may look identical but closer inspection shows small variations. In fact this is a stereo pair, a pair of images obtained from slightly different views, just like our left and right eyes see almost but not exactly the same things. As is discussed in the next section, and should be intuitively clear, the differences between the two ...
متن کاملVisual Hull Construction from Semitransparent Coloured Silhouettes
This paper attempts to create coloured semi-transparent shadow images that can be projected onto multiple screens simultaneously from different viewpoints. The inputs to this approach are a set of coloured shadow images and view angles, projection information and light configurations for the final projections. We propose a method to convert coloured semi-transparent shadow images to a 3D visual...
