Monoamine Oxidase. Iv. Nature of the Second Prosthetic Group of Plasma Monoamine Oxidase.

Previous papers in this series have described the crystallization and preliminary characterization of beef plasma monoamine oxidase (1) as well as the fact that cupric copper is one of the prosthetic groups of this enzyme (2). In the present paper, studies related to the second prosthetic groups of this enzyme are presented and the results discussed. A preliminary report has already been published suggesting that pyridoxal phosphate is a prosthetic group of this enzyme (3).
