Floods at Carlsbad in 1890.?The news of tlie destructive floods at Carlsbad in November 1890, was heard with dismay and the greatest regret by all admirers of the " Gem of Bohemia and the Queen of all bathing places," as it is called by the patriotic inhabitants. The therapeutic properties of its mineral springs are so valuable that every effort will be made to restore to its former beauty this the most expensive and fashionable Spa in the world, which is accessible by railways from all directions.
