چکیده

The task of dialog management is commonly decomposed into two sequential subtasks: dialog state tracking and dialog policy learning. In an end-to-end dialog system, the aim of dialog state tracking is to accurately estimate the true dialog state from noisy observations produced by the speech recognition and the natural language understanding modules. The state tracking task is primarily meant to support a dialog policy. From a probabilistic perspective, this is achieved by maintaining a posterior distribution over hidden dialog states composed of a set of context dependent variables. Once a dialog policy is learned, it strives to select an optimal dialog act given the estimated dialog state and a defined reward function. This paper introduces a novel method of dialog state tracking based on a bilinear algebric decomposition model that provides an efficient inference schema through collective matrix factorization. We evaluate the proposed approach on the second Dialog State Tracking Challenge (DSTC-2) dataset and we show that the proposed tracker gives encouraging results compared to the state-of-the-art trackers that participated in this standard benchmark. Finally, we show that the prediction schema is computationally efficient in comparison to the previous approaches.

A new approach for building recommender system using non negative matrix factorization method

Nonnegative Matrix Factorization is a new approach to reduce data dimensions. In this method, by applying the nonnegativity of the matrix data, the matrix is decomposed into components that are more interrelated and divide the data into sections where the data in these sections have a specific relationship. In this paper, we use the nonnegative matrix factorization to decompose the user ratin...

New Bases for Polynomial-Based Spaces

Since it is well-known that the Vandermonde matrix is ill-conditioned, while the interpolation itself is not unstable in function space, this paper surveys the choices of other new bases. These bases are data-dependent and are categorized into discretely l2-orthonormal and continuously L2-orthonormal bases. The first one construct a unitary Gramian matrix in the space l2(X) while the late...

A New Multichannel Spectral Factorization Algorithm for Parahermitian Polynomial Matrices

Abstract—A novel multichannel spectral factorization algorithm is illustrated in this paper. This new algorithm is based on an iterative method for polynomial eigenvalue decomposition (PEVD) called the second order sequential best rotation (SBR2) algorithm [1]. By using the SBR2 algorithm, multichannel spectral factorization problems are simply broken down to a set of single channel problems wh...

Spectral Clustering for Robust Motion Segmentation

In this paper, we propose a robust motion segmentation method based on the matrix factorization and subspace separation. We, first, mathematically prove that the shape interaction matrix can be derived using QR decomposition rather than Singular Value Decomposition(SVD). Using shape interaction matrix, we solve the motion segmentation problem using spectral graph clustering technique. We exploi...
