A Language For Multiplicative-additive Linear Logic

چکیده
A term calculus for the proofs in multiplicative-additive linear logic is introduced and motivated as a programming language for channel based concurrency. e term calculus is proved complete for a semantics in linearly distributive categories with additives. It is also shown that proof equivalence is decidable by showing that the cut elimination rewrites supply a conuent rewriting system modulo equations.

Cyclic Multiplicative-Additive Proof Nets of Linear Logic with an Application to Language Parsing
This paper concerns a logical approach to natural language parsing based on proof nets (PNs), i.e. de-sequentialized proofs, of linear logic (LL). It first provides a syntax for proof structures (PSs) of the cyclic multiplicative and additive fragment of linear logic (CyMALL). A PS is an oriented graph, weighted by boolean monomial weights, whose conclusions Γ are endowed with a cyclic order σ....
متن کاملThe Undecidability of Second Order Linear Logic Without Exponentials
Recently, Lincoln, Scedrov and Shankar showed that the multi-plicative fragment of second order intuitionistic linear logic is undecidable, using an encoding of second order intuitionistic logic. Their argument applies to the multiplicative-additive fragment, but it does not work in the classical case, because second order classical logic is decidable. Here we show that the multiplicative-addit...
متن کاملRetractile Proof Nets of the Purely Multiplicative and Additive Fragment of Linear Logic
Proof nets are a parallel syntax for sequential proofs of linear logic, firstly introduced by Girard in 1987. Here we present and intrinsic (geometrical) characterization of proof nets, that is a correctness criterion (an algorithm) for checking those proof structures which correspond to proofs of the purely multiplicative and additive fragment of linear logic. This criterion is formulated in t...
متن کاملOn Bunched Predicate Logic
We present the logic of bunched implications, BI, in which a multiplicative (or linear) and an additive (or intuitionistic) implication live side-by-side. The propositional version of BI arises from an analysis of the proof-theoretic relationship between conjunction and implication, and may be viewed as a merging of intuitionistic logic and multiplicative, intuitionistic linear logic. The predi...
متن کاملExpressing Additives Using Multiplicatives and Subexponentials
Subexponential logic is a variant of linear logic with a family of exponential connectives—called subexponentials—that are indexed and arranged in a pre-order. Each subexponential has or lacks associated structural properties of weakening and contraction. We show that a classical propositional multiplicative subexponential logic (MSEL) with one unrestricted and two linear subexponentials can en...
