چکیده

Chronic graft-v-host disease (chronic GVHD) is a frequent cause of late morbidity and death after bone marrow transplantation (BMT). The actuarial survival after onset of chronic GVHD in 85 patients was 42% (95%Cl = 29%. 54%) at 1 0 years. Baseline characteristics present at the onset of chronic GVHD (before therapy) in 85 patients were reviewed to determine which were risk factors for death. In a multivariate proportional hazards analysis. three baseline factors emerged as independent predictors of death: progressive presentation (chronic GVHD following acute GVHD without resolution of acute GVHD; hazard ratio of 4.1 , 95% Cl = 2.1 to 7.8), lichenoid changes on skin histology (hazard ratio of 2.2, 95% Cl = 1 .1 to 4.3). and elevation

Evaluation of narrow band UVB therapeutic effect on chronic mucocutaneous graft versus host disease lesions: A case series

Background: Chronic graft versus host disease (cGVHD) is a major cutaneous complication of bone marrow transplantation (BMT). Although milder forms of this process may be associated with a lower incidence of tumor recurrences, it is mandatory to develop a more efficient and less harmful therapeutic approach. Methods: This case-series study enrolled 7 patients diagnosed with chronic mucocutaneous...

Low Dose Psoralen Plus Ultraviolet A (PUVA) Is an Effective and Safe Method for the Treatment of Chronic Graft Versus Host Disease

Background: Chronic graft versus host disease (ch.GVHD) is the most frequent late complication after allogenic stem-cell transplantation. Systemic immunosuppressive agents are usually required to control the disease. Psoralen plus UVA (PUVA) has been used for the treatment of ch.GVHD with variable beneficial effects. The objective of this study was to assess the efficacy and safety of a r...

نقش اینترلوکین-18 و پذیرنده اینترلوکین-2 در بیماری حاد پیوند علیه میزبان پس از پیوند مغز استخوان

Background: Graft-versus-host disease is one of the major complications after allogenic bone marrow transplantation, but it is not easy to anticipate the onset. Cytokines released by type 1 T-helper cells are thought to play a pivotal role in acute graft-versus-host disease (aGVHD). The ability to predict the likely occurrence of graft-versus-host-disease (GVHD) after BMT would be extremely val...
