چکیده

In order to screen one suitable catalyst for magnetically stabilized fluidized bed (MSFB) reactor in the process of oxidative carbonylation of phenol to diphenyl carbonate (DPC), Pd/MFe2O4 catalysts were chosen, then prepared and characterized by XRD, H2-TPR, XPS and vibrating sample magnetometer (VSM). Compared to the other metal ion doped spinel ferrite catalysts, the catalytic activity of Pd/MnFe2O4 was much higher, which the single pass yield of DPC reached 33.12% with selectivity above 99%, and turnover frequency (TOF) reached 70.56 molDPC·(molPd·h). The result showed that the formation of the ferrite oxygen-deficient and ion transference in the ferrites was in favor of the catalytic activity. When the support MnFe2O4 was calcinated at 500 °C, the saturation magnetization of the obtained catalyst Pd/MnFe2O4 came up to 43.1 A·m·kg. With good magnetic property and brilliant catalytic activity the catalyst Pd/MnFe2O4 may suite for industrial experiments in MSFB reactor in future.

Synthesis of 2‐Alkynoates by Palladium(II)‐Catalyzed Oxidative Carbonylation of Terminal Alkynes and Alcohols

A homogeneous Pd(II) catalyst, utilizing a simple and inexpensive amine ligand (TMEDA), allows 2-alkynoates to be prepared in high yields by an oxidative carbonylation of terminal alkynes and alcohols. The catalyst system overcomes many of the limitations of previous palladium carbonylation catalysts. It has an increased substrate scope, avoids large excesses of alcohol substrate and uses a des...

DFT investigations for the reaction mechanism of dimethyl carbonate synthesis on Pd(II)/β zeolites.

Density functional theory (DFT) calculations have been used to investigate the oxidative carbonylation of methanol on Pd(II)/β zeolite. Activation energies for all the elementary steps involved in the commonly accepted mechanism, including the formation of dimethyl carbonate, methyl formate and dimethoxymethane, are presented. Upon conducting the calculations, we identify that the Pd(2+) cation...

Mechanistic investigations on dimethyl carbonate formation by oxidative carbonylation of methanol over a CuY zeolite: an operando SSITKA/DRIFTS/MS study.

The simultaneous combination of steady state isotopic transient kinetic analysis (SSITKA) with diffuse reflectance Fourier transform spectroscopy (DRIFTS) and mass spectrometric (MS) analysis was applied to study the oxidative carbonylation of methanol (MeOH) to dimethyl carbonate (DMC) on a CuY zeolite catalyst prepared by incipient-wetness impregnation of commercial zeolite NH(4)-Y. The inter...

Palladium Loaded on Magnetic Nanoparticles as Efficient and Recyclable Catalyst for the Suzuki- Miyaura Reaction

Palladium is the best metal catalyst for Suzuki cross coupling reaction for synthesize of unsymmetrical biaryl compounds. But its high cost limits its application in wide scale. Using of nanoscale particles as active catalytic cites is a good approach for reducing needed noble metal. By loading precious nanoparticles on magnetic nanocores as a support, recycling and reusing of catalyst will be ...

Deactivation of Ceria Supported Palladium through Câ•fiC Scission during Transfer Hydrogenation of Phenol with Alcohols

The stability of palladium supported on ceria (Pd/CeO2) was studied during liquid flow transfer hydrogenation using primary and secondary alcohols as hydrogen donors. For primary alcohols, the ceria support was reduced to cerium hydroxy carbonate within 14 h and was a contributing factor toward catalyst deactivation. For secondary alcohols, cerium hydroxy carbonate was not observed during the s...
