چکیده

Micronization of minocycline hydrochloride dissolved in ethanol and with supercritical carbon dioxide as antisolvent was successfully performed using a recently built SAS apparatus. Amorphous particles of minocycline ranging from 100 to 1000 nm (depending on the operating conditions) were obtained. The mean particle size and the particle size distribution were determined by Dynamic Light Scattering. Images were obtained by Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) to verify the shape and the size of the micronized particles. The quality of the micronized minocycline was analyzed by HPLC. Experiments were carried out in order to study the effects of the pressure (75–130 bar), temperature (3550 oC) and concentration of the liquid solution (1-20 mg.mL). Furthermore, the effect of antisolvent/solvent flow ratio on the mean particle size and particle size distribution of the obtained final product was also analyzed.

Enhancement of wettability and dissolution properties of cilostazol using the supercritical antisolvent process: effect of various additives.

The aim of this study was to improve wettability and dissolution rate of a poorly water-soluble drug, cilostazol, using the supercritical antisolvent (SAS) process. The solid state of particles precipitated from dichloromethane containing additives, including poloxamer 188, poloxamer 407, TPGS 1000, Gelucire 44/14 and Gelucire 50/13, in supercritical CO(2) medium were characterized by different...

Micronization of Taxifolin by Supercritical Antisolvent Process and Evaluation of Radical Scavenging Activity

The aim of this study was to prepare micronized taxifolin powder using the supercritical antisolvent precipitation process to improve the dissolution rate of taxifolin. Ethanol was used as solvent and carbon dioxide was used as an antisolvent. The effects of process parameters, such as temperature (35-65 °C), pressure (10-25 MPa), solution flow rate (3-6 mL/min) and concentration of the liquid ...

Preparation and Physicochemical Properties of 10-Hydroxycamptothecin (HCPT) Nanoparticles by Supercritical Antisolvent (SAS) Process

The goal of the present work was to study the feasibility of 10-hydroxycamptothecin (HCPT) nanoparticle preparation using supercritical antisolvent (SAS) precipitation. The influences of various experimental factors on the mean particle size (MPS) of HCPT nanoparticles were investigated. The optimum micronization conditions are determined as follows: HCPT solution concentration 0.5 mg/mL, the f...
