چکیده

S t u d y s e l e c t i o n a n d a s s e s s m e n t Studies were selected if they provided sufficient information to construct 2 × 2 contingency tables of MRCP results by disease status and if MRCP was compared with a reasonable single or composite gold standard. Acceptable single gold standards were endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP); endoscopic ultrasonography (EUS); intraoperative, intravenous, or percutaneous transhepatic cholangiography; and surgical exploration. Acceptable composite gold standards were also allowed. Exclusion criteria included studies of patients with a particular diagnosis who were having MRCP and studies in which only patients with positive results on MRCP had other techniques done to confirm diagnosis. Studies were assessed for quality.

Magnetic resonance cholangiopancreatography: value of using the half-Fourier acquisition single-shot turbo spin-echo (HASTE) sequence.

The purpose of this study was to evaluate the accuracy of magnetic resonance cholangiopancreatography (MRCP) for visualisation and diagnosis of pancreatico-biliary diseases. Our results of 35 case studies, correlating with results from endoscopic, percutaneous cholangiopancreatography or laparotomy, showed that MRCP performed using the half-Fourier acquisition single-shot turbo spin echo (HASTE...

Sensitivity and Specificity of Magnetic Resonance Cholangiopancreatography versus Endoscopic Ultrasonography against Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography in Diagnosing Choledocholithiasis: The Indonesian Experience

BACKGROUND/AIMS Biliary stone disease is one of the most common conditions leading to hospitalization. In addition to endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP), endoscopic ultrasonography (EUS) and magnetic resonance cholangiopancreatography (MRCP) are required in diagnosing choledocholithiasis. This study aimed to compare the sensitivity and specificity of EUS and MRCP against ERCP...

Prenatal and accurate perinatal diagnosis of type 2 H or ductular duplicate gallbladder

BACKGROUND Double gallbladder is a rare biliary anomaly. Perinatal diagnosis of the disorder has been reported in only 6 cases, and in 5 of them the diagnosis was based on ultrasound imaging only. However, the ultrasound technique alone does not provide a sufficiently precise description of cystic ducts and biliary anatomy, an information that is crucial for a correct classification and for a p...
