Antenna Theory -A comparative study

چکیده

this article presents an overview of the recent Frequency dependent and Frequency independent antenna theory. An antenna is defined by Webster’s Dictionary as “a usually metallic device (as a rod or wire) for radiating (transmitting) or receiving radio waves or EM wave.” The IEEE Standard Definitions of Terms for Antennas (IEEE Std 145–1983) defines the antenna as “a means for radiating or receiving radio waves.” With the widespread use of Internet technology, the advancement of high-speed digital communication systems has spawned a requirement for high-frequency electronically controlled beam-forming antennas. The main concept of antenna has found the novel applications in different areas because of the need for a highly configurable, low mechanical vibration antenna. This paper explores the theory and application of antenna technology.
