چکیده

The transformations of metallabenzene to substituted benzenes have been achieved by reactions of osmabenzenes with silver/copper acetylides. In this investigation, novel tetraphenylphosphonium salts containing two phosphonium substituents on the same benzene ring are generated.

Copper(I)-catalyzed cycloaddition of silver acetylides and azides: incorporation of volatile acetylenes into the triazole core.

Silver acetylides and organic azides react under copper(I) catalysis to afford 1,4-disubstituted 1,2,3-triazoles. Mechanistic studies implicate a process involving transmetallation to copper acetylides prior to cycloaddition. This work demonstrates that silver acetylides serve as suitable precursors for entry into copper-mediated coupling reactions. This methodology allows the incorporation of ...

Optimization of the catalytic ozonation process using copper oxide nanoparticles for the removal of benzene from aqueous solutions

The current study aimed to examine the overall feasibility of the use of copper oxide nanoparticles (CuO-NPs) as a catalyst in ozonation process for the removal of benzene from aqueous solutions under experimental conditions. This experimental study was conducted on a laboratory scale reactor in a semi-batch mode. The effect of critical operating parameters such factors as pH, concentration of ...

Selective Oxidation of Cyclohexene, Toluene and Ethyl Benzene Catalyzed by Bis-(L-tyrosinato)copper(II), Immersed in a Magnetite-Infused Silica Matrix

Bis-(L-tyrosinato)copper(II) was reacted with 3-(chloropropyl)-trimethoxysilane functionalized silica that has infused magnetite to yield a magnetically separable catalyst in which the copper carboxylate is covalently linked to the silica matrix through the silane linkage. The immobilized catalyst has been characterized by spectroscopic studies (such as FT-IR, EPR, Magnetic Measurement...
