Hamiltonian Formalism and Spacetime Symmetries in Generic Dsr Models

چکیده
We study the structure of the phase space of generic models of deformed special relativity which gives rise to a definition of velocity consistent with the deformed Lorentz symmetry. In this way we can also determine the laws of transformation of spacetime coordinates.

متن کاملSymmetry Breaking in String Theory
In this paper we discuss symmetry breaking in string theory. Spacetime symmetries are implemented as inner automorphisms of the underlying superconformal algebra. Conserved currents generate unbroken spacetime symmetries. As we deform the classical solutions of the string equations of motion, the deformed currents continue to generate spontaneously broken symmetries eventhough they cease to com...
متن کاملGauging by symmetries
We propose a new procedure to embed second class systems by introducing Wess-Zumino (WZ) fields in order to unveil hidden symmetries existent in the models. This formalism is based on the direct imposition that the new Hamiltonian must be invariant by gauge-symmetry transformations. An interesting feature in this approach is the possibility to find a representation for the WZ fields in a conven...
متن کاملAsymptotics and Hamiltonians in a first-order formalism
We consider four-dimensional spacetimes which are asymptotically flat at spatial infinity and show that, in the first-order framework, the action principle for general relativity is well defined without the need of infinite counter terms. It naturally leads to a covariant phase space in which the Hamiltonians generating asymptotic symmetries provide the total energy–momentum and angular momentu...
