On Multiple Access Interference in a DS/FFH Spread Spectrum Communication system

چکیده
This paper describes the influence of Multiple Access (MA) interference on the performance of a non-cohcrcnt hybrid Direct Sequence Fast Frequency Hopping SSMA Communication system applying FSK-modulation. The MA-interference plays an important role in determining the total interference in a Spread Spectrum system, especially in a non-cellularenvironment, where Power Control is hardly possiblc. A cross correlation factor which is directly responsible for this interference is derived. Using this factor, a comparison bctween slow and fast frequency hopping (both in combination with dircct scqucnce) is made. At the end two scu of Kasami codes arc sclcctcd which offer a good performance.

متن کاملAnalysis, optimization, and implementation of a hybrid DS/FFH spread-spectrum technique for smart grid communications
In recent years, there has been great interest in using hybrid spread-spectrum (HSS) techniques for commercial applications, particularly in the Smart Grid, in addition to their inherent uses in military communications. This is because HSS can accommodate high data rates with high link integrity, even in the presence of significant multipath effects and interfering signals. A highly useful form...

The optimization between the processing gain and the theoretically achievable average channel capacity per user (in the Shannon sense) of a constant total system's allocated bandwidth hybrid direct sequence/fast frequency hopping codedivision multiple-access (DS/FFH-CDMA) cellular system, when operating in a Rayleigh fading environment, is presented. ... متن کاملOverlapping -ary Frequency Shift Keying Spread-Spectrum Multiple-Access Systems Using Random Signature Sequences
In this paper, a multiple-access spread-spectrum communication system using binary frequency shift keying (BFSK) or M -ary frequency shift keying (MFSK) and noncoherent demodulation is considered. In contrast to previous work typically assuming that the frequency shift keying (FSK) tones are nonoverlapping after direct-sequence (DS) spreading, here we consider a spread-spectrum multiple-access ...
