NEW NKSMg FERTILIZER FROM FEATHER HYDROLYSATE: POT EXPERIMENTS

چکیده

EXTENDED ABSTRACT The method of new NKSMg fertilizer based on utilization of feather waste from slaughterhouses was presented. The method allows the production of liquid fertilizers which can be used in soil and foliar application. The whole process is based on the digestion of feather waste by acid hydrolysis, adjusting pH of the reaction medium, and then enriched in selected nutrients. Pot experiments have shown that the use of fertilizer from feather hydrolysate gave a significant effect of the increase of plant biomass. The content of nitrogen, potassium and magnesium in plants increased by 76.2%, 37.3% and 29.5% respectively compared to not fertilized plants. The use of NKSMg fertilizer also significantly modified the content of zinc and manganese in tested plants. The solution is currently in research-implementation stage.
