The University of the United Arab Emirates (UAEU) commissioned an international panel of experts to devise a model curriculum for their new College of Information Technology. The model has a university core in the freshman year, an IT core in the second year, and a professional concentration in one of seven degree programs in the third and fourth year. The seven degrees are computer science, computer systems engineering, software engineering, information systems, network engineering, information security, e-commerce, and educational technology.
