Arthroscopic Reduction and PercutaneousPinning of a Radiocarpal Dislocation

چکیده
R adiocarpal dislocations are complex injuries characterized by high-energy shear and rotational forces to the wrist, often combined with a fracture of the distal part of the radius or ulna. They often present as open fractures and can be complicated by soft-tissue injuries such as intercarpal and radiocarpal ligament tears and nerve injuries. Current management of radiocarpal dislocations is based on treatment principles described by Ilyas and Mudgal, which include concentric reduction of the radiocarpal joint, identification and appropriate treatment of intercarpal ligament injuries, and stable repair of the osseous-ligamentous avulsions. While these injuries were previously managed with the use of closed reduction and immobilization, authors of recent reports have recognized the instability of these complex injuries and have described treatment algorithms using open reduction and internal fixation. We report a case of ulnar radiocarpal wrist dislocation treated with wrist arthroscopy and percutaneous pinning without repair of the extrinsic wrist ligaments.

Irreducible dorsal radiocarpal fracture dislocation with dissociation of the distal radioulnar joint: a case report.
We report a case of dorsal radiocarpal fracture dislocation with dissociation of the distal radioulnar joint. Closed reduction was unsuccessful due to interposition of the osteochondral fragments and open reduction and fixation was carried out with a satisfactory end result. The advantages of volar approach and use of external fixator in the management of this injury are discussed.

Radiocarpal fracture-dislocations are uncommon injuries, comprising a spectrum of trauma to the capsuloligamentous complex and osseous structures of the radiocarpal joint along with the adjacent structures. Management guidelines are derived from limited case series and expert opinions. An understanding of the relevant anatomy suggests that restoration of an anatomically reduced joint in conjunc...

INTRODUCTION Radiocarpal dislocation is a rare injury and thus the number of cases described is limited. The course of the injury is favorable when the treatment provided is appropriate. CLINICAL CASE A 21-year-old male patient who sustained radiocarpal dislocation and fracture of the radial styloid process in both wrists. He was treated with closed reduction and external fixation. The evalua...

Background: To assess the outcome of the remplissage arthroscopic surgical method in patients with anterior shoulder dislocation associated with Hill-Sachs lesion. Methods: Ten patients with anterior shoulder dislocations and Hill-Sachs lesions were entered into this study and were operated on by the remplissage arthroscopic surgical method. Radiocarpal dislocation is an extremely uncommon injury in Traumatology, and is usually produced by high energy trauma. There are two types of dislocation, type I: pure radiocarpal dislocation and type II: fracture-dislocation. The gold standard treatment according to the literature is surgical treatment fixing the fractures and repairing the injured ligaments. We report a clinical case of radi...
