Use of the crosspower-spectrum phase in acoustic event location

LOCATION M. Omologo P. Svaizer ITC-IRST I-38050 Povo di Trento (Italy) ABSTRACT This orresponden e reports on the use of CrosspowerSpe trum Phase (CSP) analysis as an a urate Time Delay Estimation (TDE) te hnique. It is used in a mi rophone array system for the lo ation of a ousti events in noisy and reverberant environments. A orresponding Coheren e Measure and its graphi al representation are introdu ed to show TDE a ura y. Using a two mi rophone pair array, real experiments show less than 10 m average lo ation error in a 6m x 6m area.
