چکیده

Ordered titanium oxide films were prepared on an Mo(110) substrate under ultrahigh vacuum conditions and characterized by various vacuum surface analytical techniques. Using different preparation methods, the titanium oxide films exhibit two low-energy electron diffraction patterns: a (1×1) rectangular pattern and a (1×1) hexagonal pattern. Auger electron spectroscopy, high-resolution electron loss spectroscopy, and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy results indicate that the titanium oxide films grow epitaxially on Mo(110) as either 2 or 23 depending upon the particular preparation method. © 1999 Elsevier Science B.V. Thermal Oxidation Times Effect on Structural and Morphological Properties of Molybdenum Oxide Thin Films Grown on Quartz Substrates

Molybdenum oxide (α-MoO)thin films were prepared on quartz and silicon substrates by thermal oxidation of Mo thin films deposited using DC magnetron sputtering method. The influence of thermal oxidation times ranging from 60-240 min on the structural and morphological properties of the preparedfilms was investigated using X-ray diffraction, Atomic force microscopy and Fourier transform infrared...

Fabrication of a new type of organic-inorganic hybrid superlattice films combined with titanium oxide and polydiacetylene

We fabricated a new organic-inorganic hybrid superlattice film using molecular layer deposition [MLD] combined with atomic layer deposition [ALD]. In the molecular layer deposition process, polydiacetylene [PDA] layers were grown by repeated sequential adsorption of titanium tetrachloride and 2,4-hexadiyne-1,6-diol with ultraviolet polymerization under a substrate temperature of 100°C. Titanium...

Substrate-induced magnetic anisotropy in La0.7Sr0.3MnO3 epitaxial thin films grown onto (110) and (1 8) SrTiO3 substrates

We show a detailed magneto-optical Kerr study at room temperature of well characterized epitaxial La0.7Sr0.3MnO3 (LSMO) thin films grown onto (110) and (11̄8) SrTiO3 substrates. The films present a well-defined uniaxial (two-fold) magnetic anisotropy ascribed to substrate-induced anisotropy. In particular, the in-plane uniaxial anisotropy in the(110)-oriented LSMO films originates from the exist...

Ubiquitous strong electron–phonon coupling at the interface of FeSe/SrTiO3

The observation of replica bands in single-unit-cell FeSe on SrTiO3 (STO)(001) by angle-resolved photoemission spectroscopy (ARPES) has led to the conjecture that the coupling between FeSe electrons and the STO phonons are responsible for the enhancement of Tc over other FeSe-based superconductors. However the recent observation of a similar superconducting gap in single-unit-cell FeSe/STO(110)...
