چکیده
This report contains properties and approximations of some matrix valued probability density functions. Expected values of functions of generalised Beta type II distributed random variables are derived. In two Theorems, approximations of matrix variate distributions are derived. A third theorem contain a marginalisation result.

This technical report gives analytical formulas for the mean and covariance matrix of a multivariate normal distribution with one component truncated from both below and above.
متن کاملExtended Target Tracking with a Cardinalized Probability Hypothesis Density Filter, Report no. LiTH-ISY-R-2999
This technical report presents a cardinalized probability hypothesis density (CPHD) lter for extended targets that can result in multiple measurements at each scan. The probability hypothesis density (PHD) lter for such targets has already been derived by Mahler and a Gaussian mixture implementation has been proposed recently. This work relaxes the Poisson assumptions of the extended target PHD...
متن کاملOn the Multivariate t Distribution, Report no. LiTH-ISY-R-3059
This technical report summarizes a number of results for the multivariate t distribution which can exhibit heavier tails than the Gaussian distribution. It is shown how t random variables can be generated, the probability density function (pdf) is derived, and marginal and conditional densities of partitioned t random vectors are presented. Moreover, a brief comparison with the multivariate Gau...
متن کاملLTI Approximations of Slightly Nonlinear Systems: Some Intriguing Examples, Report no. LiTH-ISY-R-2655
Approximations of slightly nonlinear systems with linear time-invariant (LTI) models are often used in applications. Here, LTI models that are optimal approximations in the mean-square error sense are studied. It is shown that these models can be very sensitive to small nonlinearities. Furthermore, the significance of the distribution of the input process is discussed. From the examples studied...
