چکیده
By conventional melting and quenching methods, 3Yb2O3-0.2Tm2O3-xHo2O3 (wt%, x=0.2~1.2) was doped into an easily fiberized tellurite glass with composition of 78TeO2-10ZnO-12Na2O (mol%) to form YTH-TZN78 glasses. Under 976 nm excitation, the direct sensitizing effect of Yb ions (Yb→Ho) and indirect sensitizing and self-depopulating effects of Tm ions (Yb→Tm→Ho) were found to present intense red upconversion emission at 657 nm (Red, Ho:5F5→5I8) and were responsible for the absence of the usually observed 484 nm emission (Blue, Tm:1G4→3H36). Regardless of the dopant concentration of Ho ions, the intensity of the red emission at 657 nm (Red, Ho:5F5→5I8) is about three times stronger than that of the green one at 543 nm (Green, Ho:5S2→5I8). For this certain red emission at 657 nm, 0.4 wt% Ho2O3-doped YTH-TZN78 glass was found to present the highest emission intensity and is therefore determined as a promising active tellurite glass for red fiber laser development.

Frequency upconversion emissions in layered lead–germanate–tellurite glasses for three-color display
This letter is aiming to develop a full-color glass for the three-dimensional and three-color display. The Yb/Tm/Er codoped lead–germanate–tellurite bulk glass has been fabricated and the upconversion emissions have been investigated. The reduced blue and green emission intensity suggests that it is difficult to achieve three-color display in the multiple-rare-earth ions doped glass. Then a two...

This work reports the mid-infrared emission properties around 2 μm in Ho/Yb codoped germanate glasses. The glass not only possesses good chemical durability and good thermal stability but also has high midinfrared transmittance around 2 μm (90%). In addition, the glass possesses considerably low OH content (20.45 ppm) and large spontaneous transition probability (103.38 s) corresponding to the ...

The upconversion luminescence properties of Yb3+/Tm3+-codoped oxyfluoride tellurite glasses under 980 nm excitation are investigated experimentally. The intense blue and relatively weak red emissions centered at 475 and 649 nm corresponding to the transitions G4 → H6 and 1
متن کاملSpectroscopy and concentration quenching of the infrared emissions in Tm-doped TeO2-TiO2- Nb2O5 glass
In this work, we report the optical properties of Tm ions in tellurite glasses (TeO2-TiO2-Nb2O5) for different Tm 3+ concentrations ranging between 0.05 and 1 wt%. Judd-Ofelt intensity parameters have been determined to calculate the radiative transition probabilities and radiative lifetimes of excited states. The stimulated emission cross-sections of the infrared emissions at 1487 nm and 1800 ...

We investigate the spectroscopic properties of the 1.5-microm emission from the (4)I(13/2)-->(4)I(15/2) transition of Er(3+) ions in bismuth-germanate-lead glasses for applications in broadband fiber amplifiers. The emission peak locates at 1532nm with a full width at half-maximum (FWHM) of approximately 65nm. The measured lifetime and the calculated emission cross-section of this transition ar...
