Case of Poisoning with Tincture of Aconite

I found her vomiting violently and incessantly J the pulse was about 40, and very irregular; the extremities were cold; there was much pain in the stomach, and an incessant tingling all over the body, just as if (to use her own expression) she was being galvanized. The bowels bad not been moved ; she was quite sensible, and spoke collectedly; there was no difficulty in. swallowing, the respirations (12 in the minute) were slow and sighing ; and the pupils were dilated. I found, on inquiry, that about two o'clock, when leaving her work, she had taken a dose out of one of the bottles in the room. Immediately after leaving the house she had eaten a large quantity of raw pears, and had then walked to the bazar, a distance of more than half-a-mile. On her return about three o'clock, she felt the tingling in her moutli and all over the body, and pain in the stomach. She soon became unable to stand ; and violent vomiting came on, which had continued up to the time I saw her.
