چکیده
We here describe the case of a patient diagnosed with primary lymphoma who underwent orthotopic heart transplantation.Post surgically, the patient was treated with immunosuppressants and chemotherapy. Three months later, lesions were found on the right side of the neck and the inferior vena cava; 12 months later, the lesion of the neck became smaller and the lesion of the inferior vena cava was not detected by positron emission tomography/computed tomography. The problems we encountered with this rare disease are discussed and compared to previous studies.

Cardiac tumor recurrence after orthotopic heart transplantation in primary cardiac lymphoma
Primary cardiac lymphoma is a rare malignancy. It is difficult to diagnose, and there is no standard mode of treatment, surgical resection is rarely performed. The prognosis is poor, because of the advanced stage of myocardial involvement at the time of presentation. We report a rare case of PCL diagnosed as DLBCL treated with orthotopic heart transplantation and 4 cycles of chemotherapy with R...
متن کاملOrthotopic liver transplantation from cardiac death donors in the mouse: a new model and evaluation of cardiac death time
Objective(s): The goal of this research was to develop a mouse orthotopic liver transplantation (LTx) model from donor-after-cardiac-death (DCD) grafts. Materials and Methods: Mice were randomly assigned to the experimental group or the sham group. The mice in the experimental group were divided into three groups according to the warm ischemia time (WIT) of liver graft: normal LTx, WIT 30 minut...

متن کاملOrthotopic heart transplant: a therapeutic option for unresectable cardiac fibroma in infants.
Primary cardiac tumors are rare lesions in childhood, with the two most common being rhabdomyoma and fibroma. We report two infants who successfully underwent orthotopic heart transplant for massive interventricular septal cardiac fibromas. For unresectable infantile cardiac fibroma, orthotopic heart transplant may be considered a therapeutic option.
متن کاملPost cardiac transplantation T-cell lymphoproliferative disorder presenting as a solitary lung nodule.
Post-transplantation lymphoproliferative disorder (PTLD) is an infrequent, but serious complication of solid organ and bone marrow transplantations. The vast majority of the cases are of B-cell origin and usually associated with Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) infection. The non-B (T and NK cell) PTLDs account for up to 14% of the PTLD cases in Western countries. We report a case of a 66-year-old man ...
