A Case-Based Reasoning Approach to Imitating RoboCup Players
نویسندگان
چکیده
We describe an effort to train a RoboCup soccer-playing agent playing in the Simulation League using casebased reasoning. The agent learns (builds a case base) by observing the behaviour of existing players and determining the spatial configuration of the objects the existing players pay attention to. The agent can then use the case base to determine what actions it should perform given similar spatial configurations. When observing a simple goal-driven, rule-based, stateless agent, the trained player appears to imitate the behaviour of the original and experimental results confirm the observed behaviour. The process requires little human intervention and can be used to train agents exhibiting diverse behaviour in an automated manner.

A Hybrid Approach for Multi-Agent Learning Systems
This study proposes a hybrid approach to construct a multi-agent learning system that is applied to RoboCup (Robot world cup tournament) soccer game. RoboCup competitive games involve the complicated system behavior of multiple agents, which makes it a popular research domain in recent years. The goal of RoboCup is to promote AI and robotics, and some researchers even hope that RoboCup robots c...
متن کاملINTEGRATING CASE-BASED REASONING, KNOWLEDGE-BASED APPROACH AND TSP ALGORITHM FOR MINIMUM TOUR FINDING
Imagine you have traveled to an unfamiliar city. Before you start your daily tour around the city, you need to know a good route. In Network Theory (NT), this is the traveling salesman problem (TSP). A dynamic programming algorithm is often used for solving this problem. However, when the road network of the city is very complicated and dense, which is usually the case, it will take too long fo...
متن کاملCoordination Approach to Find Best Defense Decision with Multiple Possibilities among Robocup Soccer Simulation Team
In 2D Soccer Simulation league, agents will decide based on information and data in their model. Effective decisions need to have world model information without any noise and missing data; however, there are few solutions to omit noise in world model data; so we should find efficient ways to reduce the effect of noise when making decisions. In this article we evaluate some simple solutions whe...
متن کاملRecognizing and Predicting Agent Behavior with Case Based Reasoning
Case Based Reasoning is a feasible approach for recognizing and predicting behavior of agents within the RoboCup domain. Using the method described here, on average 98.4 percent of all situations within a game of virtual robotic soccer have been successfully classified as part of a behavior pattern. Based on the assumption that similar triggering situations lead to similar behavior patterns, a ...

In the present study, field goal shooting skills of female basketball players were assessed in the background to their reasoning ability. The sample consists of 100 female intercollegiate basketball players (age = 21.05±1.67 yrs.). Shooting skills reasoning ability were assessed by Johnson’s “Basketball Field Goal Speed Shooting Test” and Mixed Type Group Test of Intelligence prepared by Mehr...
