چکیده

Spectrally-resolved BioLuminescence optical Tomography (sBLT) is used to recover images of Luciferase activity within a 3D model using multi-wavelength emission data from internal bioluminescence sources. The Adjoint theorem for 3D image reconstruction is presented and validated using experimental data with a complete computation time of 5 minutes. ©2006 Optical Society of America OCIS codes: (170.6960) Tomography; (100.3010) Image reconstruction techniques; (100.3190) Inverse problems

A Direct Linear Reconstruction Method for Spectrally Resolved 3D Bioluminescence Tomography

Spectrally-resolved BioLuminescence optical Tomography (sBLT) is used to recover images of Luciferase activity within a 3D mouse model using multi-wavelength emission data from multiple internal bioluminescence sources. The images show that the location of sources can be reconstructed accurately using a fast, direct and linear reconstruction algorithm. ©2006 Optical Society of America OCIS code...

Modeling and Image Reconstruction in Spectrally Resolved Bioluminescence Tomography

Recent interest in modeling and reconstruction algorithms for Bioluminescence Tomography (BLT) has increased and led to the general consensus that non-spectrally resolved intensity-based BLT results in a non-unique problem. However, the light emitted from, for example firefly Luciferase, is widely distributed over the band of wavelengths from 500 nm to 650 nm and above, with the dominant fracti...

Spectrally resolved bioluminescence tomography using the reciprocity approach.

Spectrally resolved bioluminescence optical tomography is an approach to recover images of, for example, Luciferase activity within a volume using multiwavelength emission data from internal bioluminescence sources. The underlying problem of uniqueness associated with nonspectrally resolved intensity-based bioluminescence tomography is demonstrated and it is shown that using a non-negative cons...

Source reconstruction for spectrally-resolved bioluminescence tomography with sparse a priori information.

Through restoration of the light source information in small animals in vivo, optical molecular imaging, such as fluorescence molecular tomography (FMT) and bioluminescence tomography (BLT), can depict biological and physiological changes observed using molecular probes. A priori information plays an indispensable role in tomographic reconstruction. As a type of a priori information, the sparsi...

Multi-modal molecular diffuse optical tomography system for small animal imaging.

A multi-modal optical imaging system for quantitative 3D bioluminescence and functional diffuse imaging is presented, which has no moving parts and uses mirrors to provide multi-view tomographic data for image reconstruction. It is demonstrated that through the use of trans-illuminated spectral near infrared measurements and spectrally constrained tomographic reconstruction, recovered concentra...
