CMM compliance in small organizations

چکیده
CMM [8][6] is currently considered as the de facto standard for process capability certification in organizations dedicated to software development. Independent of their size, these organizations can be certified at one of CMM ́s five process maturity levels: Initial, Repeatable, Defined, Managed or Optimizing. At each level a number of Key Process Areas (KPAs) need to be satisfied, The KPAs are for the Level 2: 1. Requirements Management, 2. Software Project Planning, 3. Software Project Tracking and Oversight, 4. Software Subcontract Management, 5. Software Quality Assurance, 6. Software Configuration Management; for the Level 3: 7. Organization Process Focus, 8. Organization Process Definition, 9. Training Program, 10. Integrated Software Management, 11. Software Product Engineering, 12. Intergroup Coordination, 13. Peer Reviews; for the Level 4: 14. Quantitative Process Management, 15. Software Quality Management, and for the Level 5: 16. Defect Prevention and 17. Technology Change Management.

متن کاملA Framework to Compare Software Process Assessment Methods Dedicated to Small and Very Small Organizations
It is a challenge for small and very small organizations to adopt software process improvement models and the associated assessment methods to improve their software process. A number of customized assessment methods based on SPI models, such as CMM/CMMI and ISO 15504, have been proposed to fit the needs of such organizations. To help them select an assessment method relevant to their needs, th...
