چکیده

This paper describes an investigation of the conditions affecting the determination of phosphate using the reduced phosphoantimonylmolybdic acid method. The aim was to develop a determination method with faster kinetics than the original procedure of Murphy and Riley, for automation using flow-injection analysis. Optimum colour formation was found to occur at [H+ ] / [MOO:-] ratios between SW30 at all pH values tested (0.36-1.06). The maximum rate of formation occurs at a [H’ ] / [MOO:] ratio of 70 within a pH range of 0.574.88 when an antimony concentration greater than 0.06 mM and ascorbic acid concentration greater than 0.009 M in the final solution are used. Full colour development occurs within 0.8-l min. The ascorbic acid reagent was found to be stable for 30 days. The results of the study indicated that by suitable selection of reagent conditions, rapid chromophore development can be achieved. Kqwxfs: Phosporus; Phosphoantimonylmolybdic acid method

Determination of phosphorus based on the formation of a reduced keggin-type 12-molybdophosphate complex in an aqueous-organic solution.

A very simple, easy and sensitive spectrophotometric manual determination method of phosphorus for the P04(3-) ion, based on the formation of the reduced 12-molybdophosphate complex, was developed. The effect of the kind of water-miscible organic solvent and the concentration of organic solvent, ascorbic acid and HCl on the formation of the complex was investigated. The optimum determination co...

Synthesis of CuO nanorods via thermal decomposition of copper-dipicolinic acid complex

Template-free CuO nanorods were synthesized through a three-step chemical method with no water-insoluble materials. The first step included the preparation of a Cu-complex, which was obtained from dipicolinic acid, L-lysine, and copper nitrate. Then, as the second step, the obtained solution was allowed to be relaxed for a week to and formation of some blue single-crystals single crystals, whic...

Amelioration of the acid blue oxidation process by as-synthesized ZnO nanoparticles: Optimization of the dye and photocatalyst concentration together with the pH of the solution

In this research, ZnO nanoparticles (NPs) were synthesized using a binary Zn(II) Schiff-base complex. The complex heat-treated to prepare ZnO nanoparticles via thermal decomposition route at a temperature of 500 °C. The formation of single-phase ZnO nanoparticles and their microstructures were studied by XRD pattern, SEM and TEM observation. The photo-degradation characteristic of the as-prepar...

Efficient Dye Removal from Aqueous Solutions Using Rhamnolipid Biosurfactants by Foam Flotation

Methylene blue was efficiently removed from aqueous solution by foam flotation using a rhamnolipid a biosurfactant as a dye collector. The effects of four parameters, namely, pH (1.5–11.5), frother concentration (5–65 ppm), aeration rate (2–6 L/min) and rhamnolipid to methylene blue weight ratio (0.5–6.5), on dye removal were studied and optimized using response surface methodology. Results...

Simultaneous Determination of Brilliant Blue FCF and Carmoisine in Food Samples by Aqueous Two-Phase System and Spectrophometric Detection

A novel, simple and more sensitive spectrophotometric procedure has been developed for the determination of Brilliant blue FCF and Carmoisine in food samples by an aqueous two-phase system (ATPS). After extraction, the absorbance values were measured at 527 and 632 nm for Carmoisine and Brilliant blue FCF, respectively. The effects of different parameters such as, polyethylene glycol (type and ...
