Mathematical Modeling of Age Specific Marital Fertility Rates of Bangladesh
نویسنده
چکیده
The purpose of this study is to build up mathematical models to age specific marital fertility rates (ASM FRs) and forward cumulative ASM FRs of Bangladesh. For this, the secondary data of ASMFRs have been taken from Bangladesh Demographic and Health Survey (BDHS). It is observed that ASMFRs follows quadratic polynomial model in 1996 and one degree polynomial model i. e. simple linear regression model in 1999-2000. On the other hand, forward cumulative ASMFRs follow cubic polynomial models in both cases. Model validation technique, cross-validity prediction power (CV PP), , has been applied to these mathematical models to check the validity of the models.

Another Tempo Distortion: Analyzing Controlled Fertility by Age-specific Marital Fertility Rate
The rise in marital fertility in East Asian societies with very low fertility has been reported through analyses using the age-specific marital fertility rate (AMFR). Though the measure is often considered related to the average number of children married women have (CMF), we demonstrated that such an interpretation is often erroneous (AMFR problem) and valid only under limited conditions in mo...
متن کاملImpact of Proximate Determinants on Fertility Transition Behind the Socio-demographic Factors in Bangladesh: A Hierarchical Approach from the National Survey
Introduction: Fertility is a vital ingredient in measuring population fluctuation. Bangladesh is still above the level of transplantation of fertility. The target of this research was to determine the proximate factors on fertility rate reduction in Bangladesh. Methods: The 2014 Bangladesh Demographic and Health Survey (BDHS) was used as secondary data. T...

The purpose of this study is to build mathematical models to age specific fertility rates (ASFRs) and forward cumulative ASFRs for Jakarta, Indonesia. For this, the secondary data of ASFRs have been taken from Muhidin (2005). It is observed that ASFRs and forward cumulative ASFRs follow polynomial models. To examine whether they are valid or not, model validation technique, cross-validity predi...

Data was drawn primarily from the Pakistan Fertility Survey (PFS) conducted on a sample basis for the entire country in 1975 in an effort to investigate and identify any rural-urban differentials in fertility and to try to explain them in terms of socioeconomic and demographic factors. The Survey included a national random sample of 4949 ever-married women, aged 15-49 (1886 in urban areas and ...
