Correlation of Results on Winter-Summer Changes in Cholesterol-Part I

A question of interest is whether there is evidence of larger seasonal change for certain subgroups of subjects. One possibility is that there is a relationship between the amount of seasonal change and baseline values of other variables. We examined this possibility by constructing simple correlations between cholesterol (winter-summer) changes and average levels of other variables. For example, if subjects with larger cholesterol had higher wintersummer cholesterol changes, then there may be a positive correlation between the average cholesterol and the winter-summer change in cholesterol.
