Dr. Dennett's experience has been large, and he enters into the arena of infant literature with a book which will be of great use to the pediatrician as well as the general practitioner, for it is pre-eminently practical and deals with nearly every condition which one may meet with in temperate zones without hedging and without being too abstruse. He has very definite viwes, and does not hesitate to state them, and we must say that our own experience is in agreement with many of his practices, though doubtless our forebears would rank them
