Using content-based addresses as a programming construct for scenario specific routing and multicasting

چکیده
In this paper we extend the notion of contentbased addressing with a programmable forwarding scheme which yields a powerful programming construct for expressing scenario specific routing and multicasting. We demonstrate the expressive power of this construct through examples of over-the-air code dissemination and composition of heterogeneous services and communication between them. Furthermore, we show an efficient implementation and indicate how the underlying forwarding mechanism can be replaced to further enhance the expressivity and efficiency1. The realization of the content-based addresses does not require periodic address announcements and construction of routing tables and can therefore be applied in highly dynamic networks at low cost.

Enhanced chromosome repairing mechanism based genetic algorithm approach for the multi-period perishable production inventory-routing problem
One of the important aspects of distribution optimization problems is simultaneously, controlling the inventory while devising the best vehicle routing, which is a famous problem, called inventory-routing problem (IRP). When the lot-sizing decisions are jointed with IRP, the problem will get more complicated called production inventory-routing problem (PIRP). To become closer to the real life p...
متن کاملA Review on QoS Multicast Routing Protocols for MANETs & Internet
Multicasting is a technique used for distributing data packets from one or more sources to a set of receivers on interconnected networks. Currently developing network applications bring specific quality of service (QoS) requirements like bounded delay, minimum bandwidth, and maximum data loss rate. Providing the required quality of service addresses routing and resource reservation concepts. In...
متن کاملPerformance Evaluation of DVMRP, ODMRP & PIM-DM Routing Protocol on the Basis of Quality of Service
Multicasting is intended for group-oriented communication services. One particularly challenging environment for multicast is a Mobile Ad-Hoc Network (MANET) where, the network topology can change randomly and rapidly, at unpredictable times. As a result, several specific multicast routing protocols for MANET have been proposed. Multicast approaches can generally be categories into two: proacti...
متن کاملExplicit Multicasting for Mobile Ad Hoc Networks
In this paper we propose an explicit multicast routing protocol for mobile ad hoc networks (MANETs). Explicit multicasting differs from common approaches by listing destination addresses in data packet headers. Using the explicit destination information, the multicast routing protocol can avoid the overhead of employing its own route construction and maintenance mechanisms by taking advantage o...
متن کاملA multi-objective Two-Echelon Capacitated Vehicle Routing Problem for perishable products
This article addresses a general tri-objective two-echelon capacitated vehicle routing problem (2E-CVRP) to minimize the total travel cost, customers waiting times and carbon dioxide emissions simultaneously in distributing perishable products. In distributing perishable products, customers’ satisfaction is very important and is inversely proportional to the customers waiting times. The propose...
