چکیده
Berlin Heart INCOR system is a left ventricle assist device (LVAD), which generates a laminar blood flow. Its inflow canula is implanted in the heart apex, while its outflow canula-in the ascending aorta. In the present work a new alternative technique for implantation of the device's inflow canula is reported. The suggested technique is quicker and easier than the conventional one. It saves time and gives excellent results. After the implantation no unusual events like thrombosis, anastomosis malfunction, etc., are observed.

Tentacles: a novel device for exposing the heart for the insertion of left apical assist device cannulae.
BACKGROUND The implantation of ventricular assist devices is a well-established procedure for the treatment of imminent heart failure. The exact positioning of the left ventricular apical inflow cannula is crucial, because inflow restrictions might occur when the cannula is placed too close to the interventricular septum or a papillary muscle. We report a novel technique using the Tentacles 3-p...

However, fewer studies have applied the concept for the evaluation of specific healthcare delivery s...
متن کاملAN INNOVATIVE SURGIC AL TECHNIQUE FOR CONTINUOUS SUTURING OF PROSTHESIS IN MITR AL VALVE REPL A CEMENT
Mitral valve replacement (MVR) is usually performed in two methods of running and interrupted suturing. In running method, the suturing of the valve is usually with some traction on the annulus and also there is a risk of aortic valve injury. This study was conducted to evaluate a new technique for suturing to avoid these complications and decrease the time of cardiac arrest. One hundred an...
