چکیده

Composite services commonly expose the choreography of message exchanges realized by their constituent services through appropriate descriptions and interfaces. Such information is very useful in deciding whether a composite service fully meets the behavioral requirements of a specific application or not. However, expressing behavioral requirements towards a service is currently a challenging task, often requiring the use of complex semantic annotations and the employment of related supporting technologies. Moreover, choreography descriptions and interfaces may be expressed in various formats and they are published in various types of registries, repositories, or networks. These issues hinder the applicability and effectiveness of behavior-aware service discovery. To overcome the aforementioned obstacles and to promote interoperability at the service discovery level, we propose in this paper a novel, unified solution towards expressing and evaluating behavioral requirements towards services. In our approach, queries are conveniently created in a visual manner with the use of UML; they are translated into a generic XMLbased query language, namely USQL; they are uniformly executed in a wide variety of target registries, repositories, and networks, by means of a powerful service search engine; and they can be matched against different types of service choreography descriptions.

Affluent Context Aware Systems Based on the User Behavior in Mobile-pervasive Computing Environment

A huge number of embedded devices offer their services to the end users in pervasive environments. Context-aware discovery is a rich and very dynamic system extensively applied for combining the different mobile devices, sensors, actuators and software functions. Existing knowledge-based system using the Common KADS (CKADS) system represent contextual information but algorithm are not effective...

Discovery and Composition of Services for Context-Aware Systems

We consider the challenge of dynamically adapting services to context changes that occur in ubiquitous computing environments (e.g., changes in a user’s activity) and propose the Context-Aware Service Enabling (CASE) platform for that purpose. The CASE platform combines context-aware service discovery with service composition, acting as an enabler for the development of adaptive context-aware a...

A novel framework for QoS-aware resource discovery in mobile ad hoc networks

– With the rising popularity of network-based applications and the potential use of mobile ad hoc networks in civilian life, an efficient resource discovery service is needed in such networks for quickly locating resource providers. In addition, to improve user experience, QoS awareness is also crucial. In this paper, we identify the challenges when basic resource discovery techniques for the I...

A QoS-enabled Service Discovery and Delivery Scheme for Home Networks

For an end-to-end QoS-enabled service, the service discovery and delivery mechanisms are required to be aware of QoS and be able to differentiate its behavior according to the negotiated QoS level. This paper presents a work-inprogress scheme for achieving quality of service in service discovery and delivery networks. Based on the Universal Plug & Play standard, we propose an architecture which...

Context aware service discovery and service enabled workflow

We provide a conceptual model for context aware Semantic Web Service (SWS) discovery, which can utilize realtime legacy data from external systems and support user contextbased service discovery and selection. This model offers advantages over current SWS technology which cannot be easily applied to different domains or be integrated with legacy systems. Using this conceptualization we propose ...
