Quantum revivals in two degrees of freedom integrable systems: The torus case
نویسنده
چکیده
The paper deals with the semi-classical behaviour of quantum dynamics for a semi-classical completely integrable system with two degrees of freedom near Liouville regular torus. The phenomomenon of wave packet revivals is demonstrated in this article. The framework of this paper is semi-classical analysis (limit : h → 0). For the proofs we use standard tools of real analysis, Fourier analysis and basic analytic number theory.

Existence of Diffusion Orbits in a priori Unstable Hamiltonian Systems
Under open and dense conditions we show that Arnold diffusion orbits exist in a priori unstable and time-periodic Hamiltonian systems with two degrees of freedom. 1, Introduction and Results By the KAM (Kolmogorov, Arnold and Moser) theory we know that there are many invariant tori in nearly integrable Hamiltonian systems with arbitrary n degrees of freedom. These tori are of n dimension and oc...
متن کاملMonodromy in Perturbed Kepler Systems: Hydrogen Atom in Crossed Elds
{ We demonstrate that an integrable approximation to the hydrogen atom in orthogonal electric and magnetic elds has monodromy, a fundamental dynamical property that makes a global deenition of action-angle variables and of quantum numbers impossible. When the eld strengths are suuciently small, we nd our integrable approximation using a two step normalization procedure. One of dynamically invar...
متن کاملParabolic Resonances in near Integrable Hamiltonian Systems I Introduction
When an integrable Hamiltonian system, possessing an m-resonant lower dimensional normally parabolic torus is perturbed, a parabolic m-resonance occurs. If, in addition, the iso-energetic non-degeneracy condition for the integrable system fails, the near integrable Hamiltonian exhibits a at parabolic m-resonance. It is established that most kinds of parabolic resonances are persistent in n (n 3...
متن کاملQuantum wave packet revivals
The numerical prediction, theoretical analysis, and experimental verification of the phenomenon of wave packet revivals in quantum systems has flourished over the last decade and a half. Quantum revivals are characterized by initially localized quantum states which have a short-term, quasi-classical time evolution, which then can spread significantly over several orbits, only to reform later in...
متن کاملGluing torus families across a singularity: The lens space for the hydrogen atom in crossed fields
We demonstrate that topological information that can be extracted from periodic orbits in a near-integrable system can lead to a complete topological characterization of families of invariant 2-tori in terms of lens spaces. This approach ties in with the techniques we developed for classifying the tori in systems with more than two degrees of freedom. It therefore offers a general way to invest...
