Lyapunov Event-triggered Stabilization with a Known Convergence Rate

چکیده
A constructive tool of nonlinear control systems design, the method of Control Lyapunov Functions (CLF) has found numerous applications in stabilization problems for continuoustime, discrete-time and hybrid systems. In this paper, we address the fundamental question: given a CLF, corresponding to the continuous-time controller with some predefined (e.g. exponential) convergence rate, can the same convergence rate be provided by an event-triggered controller? Under certain assumptions, we give an affirmative answer to this question and show that the corresponding event-based controllers provide positive dwelltimes between the consecutive events. Furthermore, we prove the existence of self-triggered and periodic event-triggered controllers, providing stabilization with a known convergence rate. Event-Triggered Stabilization of Nonlinear Systems with Time-Varying Sensing and Actuation Delay
This paper studies the problem of stabilization of a single-input nonlinear system with time-varying delays in both sensing and actuation channels using event-triggered control. Our proposed strategy seeks to opportunistically minimize the communication cost of stabilization and its design uses predictor feedback to compensate for arbitrarily large known time-varying delays. We establish, using...
متن کاملA new switching strategy for exponential stabilization of uncertain discrete-time switched linear systems in guaranteed cost control problem
Uncertain switched linear systems are known as an important class of control systems. Performance of these systems is affected by uncertainties and its stabilization is a main concern of recent studies. Existing work on stabilization of these systems only provides asymptotical stabilization via designing switching strategy and state-feedback controller. In this paper, a new switching strate...
متن کاملGlobal Stabilization of Attitude Dynamics: SDRE-based Control Laws
The State-Dependant Riccati Equation method has been frequently used to design suboptimal controllers applied to nonlinear dynamic systems. Different methods for local stability analysis of SDRE controlled systems of order greater than two such as the attitude dynamics of a general rigid body have been extended in literature; however, it is still difficult to show global stability properties of...
متن کاملAnalysis of Applying Event-triggered Strategy on the Model Predictive Control
In this paper, the event-triggered strategy in the case of finite-horizon model predictive control (MPC) is studied and its advantages over the input to state stability (ISS) Lyapunov based triggering rule is discussed. In the MPC triggering rule, all the state trajectories in the receding horizon are considered to obtain the triggering rule. Clearly, the finite horizon MPC is sub-optimal with ...
متن کاملEvent-Triggered Attitude Stabilization of a Quadcopter
There are many possible ways to perform the attitude control of a quadcopter and, recently, the subject of event-triggered control has become relevant in the scientific community. This thesis deals with the analysis and implementation of a saturating attitude controller for a quadcopter system, together with the derivation of an event-triggering rule to work with it. Two distinct rules are pres...
