Peristrophic multiplexed holograms recorded in a low toxicity photopolymer

چکیده
Multiplexed diffraction gratings were recorded in 300 μm thick layers of biophotopol photopolymer by using two peristrophic multiplexing schemes separately and in combination. In addition, it was shown that riboflavin may be used as polymer initiator in acrylamide photopolymer films and the holographic properties of these films such as diffraction efficiency and dynamic range were compared with those of the biophotopol photopolymer. A variable exposure scheduling method was adopted to store the gratings using a 488 nm Ar laser. Thirteen nearly uniform sinusoidal wave gratings could be recorded in a low toxicity recording medium with a variable exposure energy scheduling method. The diffraction efficiency and dynamic range obtained using the two multiplexing schemes were compared. © 2016 Optical Society of America OCIS codes: (090.4220) Multiplex holography; (210.4810) Optical storage-recording materials; (160.4670) Optical materials; (160.1435) Biomaterials. Method for holographic storage using peristrophic multiplexing.
A method of multiplexing holograms by rotating the material or, equivalently, the recording beams is described. Peristropic (Greek for rotation) multiplexing can be combined with other multiplexing methods to increase the storage density of holographic storage systems. Peristrophic multiplexing is experimentally demonstrated with Du Pont's HRF-150 photopolymer film. We multiplexed a total of 29...

A combination of two multiplexing methods--peristrophic and angular multiplexing--is used to record 60 holograms. An exposure schedule method is used to optimize the capability of the photopolymerizable holographic mater...

A liquid crystal device was used to modify the object beam and store the data pages in the material. Objects with different pixel size have been used to simulate the data pages. A perist...
متن کاملImproved maximum uniformity and capacity of multiple holograms recorded in absorbent photopolymers.
In order to use photopolymers in the recording of holographic memories, high physical thickness is required. This generates many problems associated with the attenuation of light in the recording due to Beer's law. One of the more significant disadvantages is the fact that there are differences between the physical thickness of the material and the optical thickness of the holograms recorded. T...
