Tauberian-type theorems with application to the Stieltjes transformation

چکیده
The Abelian and Tauberian-type theorems were introduced by Stanković [7] and Pilipović et al. [5]. In the first part of this paper, we give the definition of the quasiasymptotic expansion at 0+ and the quasiasymptotic behaviour of distributions at infinity from S′+ introduced in [1]. In this paper, we give the definition of space L′(r), classical Stieltjes transformation, modified Stieltjes transformation, and generalized modified Stieltjes transformation. This enables us to obtain, in the second part of the paper, the Tauberiantype theorems of quasiasymptotic behaviour of distributions at infinity. We give sufficient conditions under which the behaviour at infinity of the modified Stieltjes transformation Γ(r +1)(Tr+1 f )(x), r ∈R\(−N), f ∈ L′(r) determines the quasiasymptotic behaviour of f at infinity.

Tauberian Theorems for Matrix Regular Variation.
Karamata's Tauberian theorem relates the asymptotics of a nondecreasing right-continuous function to that of its Laplace-Stieltjes transform, using regular variation. This paper establishes the analogous Tauberian theorem for matrix-valued functions. Some applications to time series analysis are indicated.
متن کاملOn Tauber’s Second Tauberian Theorem
We study Tauberian conditions for the existence of Cesàro limits in terms of the Laplace transform. We also analyze Tauberian theorems for the existence of distributional point values in terms of analytic representations. The development of these theorems is parallel to Tauber’s second theorem on the converse of Abel’s theorem. For Schwartz distributions, we obtain extensions of many classical ...
متن کاملTail Probability and Singularity of Laplace-Stieltjes Transform of a Heavy Tailed Random Variable
In this paper, we will give a sufficient condition for a non-negative random variable X to be heavy tailed by investigating the Laplace-Stieltjes transform of the probability distribution function. We focus on the relation between the singularity at the real point of the axis of convergence and the asymptotic decay of the tail probability. Our theorem is a kind of Tauberian theorems.
متن کاملTauberian Theorems for Distributions in the Lizorkin Spaces
1.1. Tauberian type theorems. As is well known, in mathematical physics there are so-called Tauberian theorems which have many applications. Tauberian theorems are usually assumed to connect asymptotical behavior of a function (distribution) at zero with asymptotical behavior of its Fourier (Laplace or other integral transforms) at infinity. The inverse theorems are usually called “Abelian” [4]...
متن کاملMinicourse Introduction to Tauberian theory. A distributional approach
Tauberian theory provides striking methods to attack hard problems in analysis. The study of Tauberian type theorems has been historically stimulated by their potential applications in diverse fields of mathematics such as number theory, combinatorics, complex analysis, probability theory, and the analysis of differential operators [1, 3, 7, 8, 17, 19]. Even mathematical physics has pushed forw...
