Camits: a Cooperative Agents Model for Intelligent Tutoring Systems
نویسنده
چکیده
Besides, the use of these agents in MAS provides a lot of advantages: scalability, fault tolerance, easiness for distribution, easiness for optimising, technology independence. 1 THE PROBLEM One of the main difficulties that the education currently must face is the growing demand, which implies the loss of the personal instruction concept. With all these characteristics, a cooperative agents system seems a good modelling approach to provide the necessary system adaptation to the students and to the subjects, to facilitate the autonomy of the components, and its independence from the knowledge field that it is taught. One alternative to try to return to this kind of instruction has been the application of Artificial Intelligence techniques to the Computer Based Instruction, which has lead to Intelligent Tutoring Systems (ITS) [4]. However, it is obvious that these systems have not been fully consolidated as a serious alternative for instruction, mainly owed to: 3 THE NEW MODEL DEFINITION

Intelligent Virtual Environments for Training: An Agent-Based Approach
In this paper we propose an architecture for the development of Intelligent Virtual Environments for Training, which is based on a collection of cooperative software agents. The first level of the architecture is an extension of the classical Intelligent Tutoring System architecture that adds to the expert, student, tutoring and communication modules a new module which is called World Module. S...
متن کاملA Context-aware Architecture for Mental Model Sharing through Semantic Movement in Intelligent Agents
Recent studies in multi-agent systems are paying increasingly more attention to the paradigm of designing intelligent agents with human inspired concepts. One of the main cognitive concepts driving the core of many recent approaches in multi agent systems is shared mental models. In this paper, we propose an architecture for sharing mental models based on a new concept called semantic movement....
متن کاملA Multi-Agent Based Framework to Build Intelligent Tutoring Systems
Intelligent agent approaches have been applied to designing and development of new ITS (Intelligent Tutoring Systems). However the design of such systems is mainly based on ad-hoc approaches. In this paper, we adopt a multi-agent approach which explores knowledge engineering and an important feature of software engineering based on design experiences: frameworks. Here, we describe a conceptual ...
متن کاملA conceptual model for game based intelligent tutoring systems
In order to build intelligent tutoring agents within games-based learning environments, practitioners must understand the three conceptual models used within Intelligent Tutoring Systems (ITS): the expert or domain model, the student model, and the instructional model. This paper investigates the inter-relationship between these models and how they combine to provide the expected behaviour of i...
متن کاملAdaptive Model for Agent-Based Intelligent Tutoring Systems
The purpose of this article is to build a model of interaction between the learner and the teacher, where the teacher performs the role of an Intelligent Tutoring System (ITS). If a teacher in the learning process is replaced with a computer system, it should be equipped with a system to adapt to the learner’s cognitive state. We studied factors that influence the learner’s perception of the in...
