Two Dimensional Adelic Analysis and Cuspidal Automorphic Representations of Gl(2)

چکیده
Two dimensional adelic objects were introduced by I. Fesenko in his study of the Hasse zeta function associated to a regular model E of the elliptic curve E. The Hasse-Weil L-function L(E, s) of E appears in the denominator of the Hasse zeta function of E . The two dimensional adelic analysis predicts that the integrand h of the boundary term of the two dimensional zeta integral attached to E is meanperiodic. The mean-periodicity of h implies the meromorphic continuation and the functional equation of L(E, s). On the other hand, if E is modular, several nice analytic properties of L(E, s), in particular the analytic continuation and the functional equation, are obtained by the theory of the cuspical automorphic representation of GL(2) over the ordinary ring of adele (one dimensional adelic object). In this article we try to relate the theory of two dimensional adelic object to the theory of cuspidal automorphic representation of GL(2) over the one dimensional adelic object, under the assumption that E is modular. Roughly speaking, they are dual each other.

Irreducibility Criteria for Local and Global Representations
It is proved that certain types of modular cusp forms generate irreducible automorphic representations of the underlying algebraic group. Analogous Archimedean and non-Archimedean local statements are also given. Introduction One of the motivations for this paper was to show that full level cuspidal Siegel eigenforms generate irreducible, automorphic representations of the adelic symplectic sim...
متن کاملThe Archimedean Theory of the Exterior Square L-functions over Q
Let π = ⊗ p≤∞ πp be a cuspidal automorphic representation of GL(n) over Q. The adelic representation π is composed of π∞, an archimedean representation of GL(n,R), and nonarchimedean representations πp of GL(n,Qp) for each prime p. For all places p < ∞ outside of a finite set S, πp is unramified and parameterized by principal series parameters {αp,j}. Letting Ap ∈ GL(n,C) denote the diagonal ma...
متن کاملAnalysis on arithmetic quotients: SL(2) Classical and adelic automorphic forms
This essay will exhibit the realization of discrete series representations of SL 2 (R) on spaces of holomor-phic functions and relate them to automorphic forms for certain arithmetic groups. In a second essay I shall relate these in turn to representations of adèle groups, and more generally make remarks about the connection between arithmetic quotients and adelic quotients. By now the realizat...
متن کاملA Cuspidality Criterion for the Exterior Square Transfer of Cusp Forms on Gl(4)
For a cuspidal automorphic representation Π of GL(4, A), H. Kim proved that the exterior square transfer ∧Π is nearly an isobaric automorphic representation of GL(6, A). In this paper we characterize those representations Π for which ∧Π is cuspidal.

We conjecture that the only irreducible cuspidal automorphic representations for GL(3)/Q of cohomological type and level 1 are (up to twisting) the symmetric square lifts of classical cuspforms on GL(2)/Q of level 1. We present computational evidence for this conjecture. 1. Statement and explanation of a conjecture Arithmetic objects defined over Q and unramified everywhere are rare. For exampl...
