چکیده
The definition of the weighted version of difficulty in ”Termination of 4-fold canonical flips” contains some errors. In this paper, we describe these errors and how to correct them. Anyway, any sequence of 4-fold canonical flips terminates: Theorem 5.2.

Termination of 4-fold Canonical Flips
We prove the termination of 4-fold canonical flips. This paper is a supplement of [KMM, Theorem 5-1-15] and [M, Main Theorem 2.1]. We prove that a sequence of 4-fold log flips for canonical pairs terminates after finitely many steps. Let us recall the definition of canonical flips, which is slightly different from the usual one (cf. [S, (2.11) Adjoint Diagram]). Definition 1 (Canonical flip). L...
متن کاملOn Termination of 4-fold Semi-stable Log Flips
In this paper, we prove the termination of 4-fold semistable log flips under the assumption that there always exist 4-fold (semi-stable) log flips.
متن کاملTwo Two-dimensional Terminations
Varieties with log terminal and log canonical singularities are considered in the Minimal Model Program, see [KMM] for introduction. In [SH2] it was conjectured that many of the interesting sets, associated with these varieties have something in common: they satisfy the ascending chain condition, which means that every increasing chain of elements terminates (in [SH2] it was called the upper se...
متن کاملA Note on Termination of Flips
As explained in [Kaw03], termination of 4-dimensional klt flips follows from this Lemma by using backtracking and crepant descent, see Section 2 below. We were unable to prove Key Lemma in full generality. Here, we establish it if one of the following addional conditions holds: (1) either inf bi > 0, (2) or s 6= 0. In particular, this provides a new proof for termination of terminal (and canoni...
متن کاملFlips and Variation of Moduli Schemes of Sheaves on a Surface
Let H be an ample line bundle on a non-singular projective surface X , and M(H) the coarse moduli scheme of rank-two H-semistable sheaves with fixed Chern classes on X . We show that if H changes and passes through walls to get closer to KX , then M(H) undergoes natural flips with respect to canonical divisors, and terminates in M(KX), whose canonical divisor is nef. Remark that so-called Thadd...
