چکیده
This paper describes the design of a protocol to do one-to-many reliable bulk non-realtime distribition of data. Key features of the design of this protocol include the fact that it provides efficiency through use of IP multicast, and that it provides “TCP friendly” Congestion Control in a scalable manner.

Normalized Transfer of Bulk Data By Using UDP In Dedicated Networks
High speed bulk data transfer is an important part of many data-intensive scientific applications. TCP fails for the transfer of large amounts of data over long distance across high-speed dedicated network links. Due to system hardware is incapable of saturating the bandwidths supported by the network and rise buffer overflow and packet-loss in the system. To overcome this there is a necessity ...
متن کاملSecure Computation against Adaptive Auxiliary Information
We study the problem of secure two-party and multiparty computation (MPC) in a setting where a cheating polynomial-time adversary can corrupt an arbitrary subset of parties and, in addition, learn arbitrary auxiliary information on the entire states of all honest parties (including their inputs and random coins), in an adaptive manner, throughout the protocol execution. We formalize a definitio...
متن کاملAn Adaptive Congestion Alleviating Protocol for Healthcare Applications in Wireless Body Sensor Networks: Learning Automata Approach
Wireless Body Sensor Networks (WBSNs) involve a convergence of biosensors, wireless communication and networks technologies. WBSN enables real-time healthcare services to users. Wireless sensors can be used to monitor patients’ physical conditions and transfer real time vital signs to the emergency center or individual doctors. Wireless networks are subject to more packet loss and congestion. T...
متن کاملReal-time damage detection of bridges using adaptive time-frequency analysis and ANN
Although traditional signal-based structural health monitoring algorithms have been successfully employed for small structures, their application for large and complex bridges has been challenging due to non-stationary signal characteristics with a high level of noise. In this paper, a promising damage detection algorithm is proposed by incorporation of adaptive signal processing and Artificial...
متن کاملMgpm { a Multicast-enabled Presentation Tool
We present a multicast-enabled presentation tool designed to deliver slide-based presentations on the MBone. QoS is a primary objective of this work: we want to deliver high quality slides with a moderate and adaptive use of network resources. To this purpose, we use a congestion-controlled, FEC-based multicast data delivery protocol for the bulk data transfer, while real-time data, which gener...
