Ad-Hoc Technology Based Improved Vertical Handover Scheme for Heterogeneous Wireless Networks

چکیده
The integration of WiMAX and WLAN has been seen as a promising approach toward 4G. we are going to analyze different important issues for the interworking of Mobile WiMAX and WLAN networks. We propose a tightly coupled interworking structure. Our proposed schemes can keep stations always being best connected due to ad-hoc nature that means An ad hoc network is a collection of wireless mobile nodes dynamically forming a temporary network without the use of any existing network infrastructure or centralized administration but in this project we are considering the device which has free channel it can share to requester otherwise not. Our main aim is to estimate the conditions of both WiMAX and WLAN networks in terms of available bandwidth and packet delay. For providing the heterogeneous future works with ad-hoc nature

متن کاملA hybrid (N/M)CHO soft/hard vertical handover technique for heterogeneous wireless networks
In this paper we investigate the potentiality and the benefits of a soft Vertical Handover (VHO) mechanism, compared with the traditional hard approach. More specifically, we present an analytical scheme for seamless service continuity in a heterogeneous network environment, modeled by means of a multi-dimension Markov chain. The call blocking probabilities, as well as the soft and hard vertica...
متن کاملLEBRP - A Lightweight and Energy Balancing Routing Protocol for Energy-Constrained Wireless Ad Hoc Networks
A wireless ad hoc network typically refers to any set of wireless networks where all devices have equal status on a network and are free to associate with any other wireless ad hoc network devices in their range. As the nature of these networks, they commonly do not have external power supplies, and each node has a limited internal power source. In this paper, we put forward a new routing proto...
متن کاملA Hidden Node Aware Network Allocation Vector Management System for Multi-hop Wireless Ad hoc Networks
Many performance evaluations for IEEE 802.11distributed coordination function (DCF) have been previouslyreported in the literature. Some of them have clearly indicatedthat 802.11 MAC protocol has poor performance in multi-hopwireless ad hoc networks due to exposed and hidden nodeproblems. Although RTS/CTS transmission scheme mitigatesthese phenomena, it has not been successful in thoroughlyomit...
متن کاملEvaluation of a BIBD Based Directional MAC Protocol for Wireless Ad Hoc Networks
The use of directional antennas in wireless ad hoc networks can significantly improve global performance due to a high spatial channel reuse. Nevertheless, its introduction poses new location dependent problems related to the MAC protocol. In this paper, the Balanced Incomplete Block Design theory has been exploited to develop a new MAC protocol for wireless ad hoc networks using directional ant...
