چکیده

The ground, oneand two-particle states of the (1+1)-dimensional massive sine-Gordon field theory are investigated within the framework of the Gaussian wave-functional approach. We demonstrate that for a certain region of the model-parameter space, the vacuum of the field system is asymmetrical. Furthermore, it is shown that two-particle bound state can exist upon the asymmetric vacuum for a part of the aforementioned region. Besides, for the bosonic equivalent to the massive Schwinger model, the masses of the one boson and two-boson bound states agree with the recent second-order results of a fermion-mass perturbation calculation when the fermion mass is small. A system of equations is derived which must be satisfied by multiparticle matrix elements of any local operator in field theories with soliton behaviour. Form factors of various operators of interest are calculated exactly by means of the known exact S-matrices in the sine-Gordon, massive Thirring, non-linear a-, and Gross-Neveu models. The finite sine-Gordon wave function renormalization const...

Thermoelastic Vibration of Temperature-Dependent Nanobeams Due to Rectified Sine Wave Heating—A State Space Approach

In this study, the second type of Green and Naghdi's thermoelasticity theory is applied to present the vibration of a nanobeam subjected to rectified sine wave heating based upon the nonlocal thermoelasticity theory. Both Young's modulus and thermal conductivity are considered to be linear functions of the temperature. The Laplace transform domain is adopted to solve the governing partial diffe...

Sine-Gordon field theory for the Kosterlitz-Thouless transitions on fluctuating membranes.

In the preceding paper, we derived Coulomb-gas and sine-Gordon Hamiltonians to describe the Kosterlitz-Thouless transition on a fluctuating surface. These Hamiltonians contain couplings to Gaussian curvature not found in a rigid flat surface. In this paper, we derive renormalization-group recursion relations for the sine-Gordon model using field-theoretic techniques developed to study flat spac...

Generalized solution of Sine-Gordon equation

In this paper, we are interested to study the Sine-Gordon equation in generalized functions theory introduced by Colombeau, in the first we give result of existence and uniqueness of generalized solution with initial data are distributions (elements of the Colombeau algebra). Then we study the association concept with the classical solution.

Finite Size Corrections in Massive Thirring Model

We calculate for the first time the finite size corrections in the massive Thirring model. This is done by numerically solving the equations of periodic boundary conditions of the Bethe ansatz solution. It is found that the corresponding central charge extracted from the 1/L term is around 0.4 for the coupling constant of g0 = − π 4 and decreases down to zero when g0 = − π 3 . This is quite dif...
