چکیده

Coronary sinus blood flow was studied by the continuous thermodilution method in 13 subjects with normal coronary arteries and 14 patients with coronary artery disease during progressive elevation of the heart rate by atrial pacing. In 11 patients of the coronary group angina pectoris developed during pacing. In subjects with normal coronary arteries the coronary sinus blood flow rose proportionately (1.71 + 0.19 ml/

Coronary Heart Disease Systolic Pressure

Right atrial pacing was performed in 41 subjects with coronary heart disease. Twenty developed angina pectoris during pacing, while 21 did not. The extent of coronary artery disease, as judged by selective cinearteriography, was similar in the two groups. Both had significant increases in heart rate and pressure-time per minute, but there was no significant difference in either of these paramet...

Effect of oxygen breathing on pacing-induced angina pectoris and other manifestations of coronary insufficiency.

Eleven patients with arteriographically confirmed coronary artery disease and normal arterial oxygen saturation were studied. The angina threshold was determined first by successive elevation of heart rate at increments of 10 and 5 beats/min by right atrial pacing while the patients were breathing air via a close-fitting mask. The mask was then connected to an oxygen tank without the patient's ...

The Effect of Ischemia and Alterations of Heart

Myocardial electrolyte balance and lactate metabolism were studied in 30 patients before, during, and after a period of atrial pacing utilizing a continuous automated sampling technic with simultaneous electrocardiographic and hemodynamic observations. Eight patients with coronary artery disease who had no symptoms during pacing and four normal subjects demonstrated myocardial potassium loss bu...
