چکیده

In this paper, we presented a track-before-detect (TBD) method which can cope with range-Doppler ambiguity for medium pulse repetition frequency (MPRF) radars. The target state evolutions in the ambiguous range-Doppler domain are considered as a hybrid system with the range-Doppler ambiguous number deemed as mode variable. Phase information of measurement is used to provide a detection sensitivity improvement, and the reduction of computation is acquired by using complex likelihood instead of the envelope likelihood. Finally, a dynamic programming algorithm is used to estimate target state and ambiguous number of every PRF, and the true trajectory of target is backtracked after resolving the ambiguity. Simulation results show that the proposed method achieves 1.2 dB performance improvement at 50 % detection rate compared with the present method. Copyright © 2014 IFSA Publishing, S. L.

Detection and Tracking of a Moving Target Using SAR Images with the Particle Filter-Based Track-Before-Detect Algorithm

A novel approach to detecting and tracking a moving target using synthetic aperture radar (SAR) images is proposed in this paper. Achieved with the particle filter (PF) based track-before-detect (TBD) algorithm, the approach is capable of detecting and tracking the low signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) moving target with SAR systems, which the traditional track-after-detect (TAD) approach is inadequa...

A Track-Before-Detect Algorithm based on KA-HT

Track-before-Detect (TBD) methods have been applied in the fields of dim target detection in radar systems. The basic principle of TBD is actually the theory of multiple frame integration detection, that is, using the multiple scans data to detect the dim target by accumulation effect which make use of information about target motion trajectory to increase the target detection capability of a s...

Multiple Radar Target Tracking in Environments with High Noise and Clutter

Tracking a time-varying number of targets is a challenging dynamic state estimation problem whose complexity is intensified under low signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) or high clutter conditions. This is important, for example, when tracking multiple, closely spaced targets moving in the same direction such as a convoy of low observable vehicles moving through a forest or multiple targets moving in a...

Extending the Radar Dynamic Range using Adaptive Pulse Compression

The matched filter in the radar receiver is only adapted to the transmitted signal version and its output will be wasted due to non-matching with the received signal from the environment. The sidelobes amplitude of the matched filter output in pulse compression radars are dependent on the transmitted coded waveforms that extended as much as the length of the code on both sides of the target loc...

Reachability checking in complex and concurrent software systems using intelligent search methods

Software system verification is an efficient technique for ensuring the correctness of a software product, especially in safety-critical systems in which a small bug may have disastrous consequences. The goal of software verification is to ensure that the product fulfills the requirements. Studies show that the cost of finding and fixing errors in design time is less than finding and fixing the...
