Computer Vision for Interactive Computer Graphics
نویسندگان
چکیده
Computers looking through a camera at people is a potentially powerful technique to facilitate human-computer interaction. The computer can interpret the userś movements, gestures, and glances. Fundamental visual algorithms include tracking, shape recognition, and motion analysis. We describe several vision algorithms for interactive graphics, and present various vision controlled graphics applications which we have built which use them: vision-based computer games, a hand signal recognition system, and a television set controlled by hand gestures. Some of these applications can employ a special artificial retina chip for image detection or pre-processing. Computer vision framework for adding CG Simulations
Rendering synthetic simulations into real world scenes is an important application of both Computer Graphics (CG) and Computer Vision (CV). CV techniques have been used to reconstruct the 3D models of the real world scenes. As part of my course project, I’ve implemented computer vision modules for calibrating camera, computing stereo, computing depth-maps, computing 3D models and a graphics int...
متن کاملTHE DESIGN, MODELING AND EVALUATION OF POTENTIAL HIV PROTEASE INHIBITORS USING BLITZ, AN INTERACTIVE COMPUTER GRAPHICS WORKING TOOL
Several nonpeptide small molecules were designed as potential inhibitors of HIV protease and their structures were constructed by computer-aided molecular modeling and docked iwo the active site of HIV protease. Models of the complexes of inhibitors and the HIV protease were refined using nonbonded and H-bonding terms. The refined energy of selected complexes showed that the designed inhib...
متن کاملMulti-touch Surface Table with Multi-point Tactile Feedback
Currently, most of multi-touch surface tables do not provide any tactile feedback to the users. In this paper, a multi-touch surface table with tactile feedback is proposed. The proposed surface table provides the users with the ability of multi-point tactile feedback with variant patterns and levels of vibrations. A webcam is used to capture all finger-touch images as system inputs using compu...
متن کاملInteractive Video-Based Motion Capture for Character Animation
We combine techniques from interactive computer graphics and automated computer vision to extract articulated body movement from video. Active contours and techniques from image processing are used to identify features and establish feature relationships from frame to frame. A threedimensional hierarchical model is associated with active contours, which then kinematically “pull” the model along...
متن کاملInteractive Common Illumination for Computer Augmented Reality
The advent of computer augmented reality (CAR), in which computer generated objects mix with real video images, has resulted in many interesting new application domains. Providing common illumination between the real and synthetic objects can be very beneficial, since the additional visual cues (shadows, interreflections etc.) are critical to seamless real-synthetic world integration. Building ...
