چکیده

IT is not easy to make accurate measurements of the minute volume delivered by an IPP respirator Cooper, 1959). Even the electronic integrating pneumotachygraph (Pressey, 1952) has the disadvantages of bulk, fire risk, complexity, and the likelihood of error arising from zero drift. Further, its calibration factor is a function of the physical properties of the gases passing. In anaesthesia these may be neither constant nor precisely known.

Management of the Engström Respirator in Early Infancy.

High tracheostomy through the second or third tracheal cartilage is performed using the widest possible silver cannula, i.e. usually 3 to 4 mm. in diameter at the distal opening, to fit tightly into the tracheal lumen. The cannula is double-lumen unfenestrated and protrudes beyond the guard plate so that the small standard tubings of the respirator can easily be connected to it. The patient is ...

تعیین طول عمر کارتریج های ماسکهای تنفسی با استفاده از یک روش ساده و کاربردی: مطالعه موردی در یک صنعت خودروسازی

Background and aims: For ensuring about proper performance of air-purifying respirators in providing protection against workplace contaminants, it is necessary to change the respirator cartridges before the end of their service life. The aim of this study was determination of service life of organic vapor cartridges using a simple and practical method in a spray painting booth of a car manufa...

Laboratory and clinical evaluation of a new volume ventilator.

A three phase laboratory and clinical evaluation of a new fluidically controlled volume ventilator (Ohio 550) was undertaken to determine if this more compact, less complex and less costly unit retained the multiple advantages which have been established for volume ventilators in the continuous ventilatory support of patients in respiratory failure. Inspired volume, peak pressure, and flow rate...

A System for Continuous Estimating and Monitoring Cardiac Output via Arterial Waveform Analysis

Background: Cardiac output (CO) is the total volume of blood pumped by the heart per minute and is a function of heart rate and stroke volume. CO is one of the most important parameters for monitoring cardiac function, estimating global oxygen delivery and understanding the causes of high blood pressure. Hence, measuring CO has always been a matter of interest to researchers and clinicians. Sev...

Economic Analysis of Implementing Respirator Program or Ventilation System in a Manufacturing Environment

The techniques and methods of developing cost models for respirators are discussed. Models are developed and implemented in this study for nineteen types of respirators in two major classes (air-purifying and supplied-air) and one LEV system. One respirator model is selected for detailed discussion from among the twenty models. The technical cost method is used in constructing the cost models f...
