چکیده

Parkinson's begins when a certain class of brain cells begins to die, cells that produce a chemical called dopamine, which your body needs. Dopamine serves as a chemical messenger helping to control muscle activities. Loss of dopamine leads to the progressive loss of muscular control, giving rise to a variety of symptoms: stiffness, tremor, slow movement, difficulty with balance, difficulty walking, a stooped-over, shuffling gait. As the disease progresses, the patient may develop difficulty speaking, symptoms of senility (dementia) similar to Alzheimer's, and severe depression.

The cyclophilin inhibitor SCY-635 disrupts hepatitis C virus NS5A-cyclophilin A complexes.

The nonimmunosuppressive cyclophilin (Cyp) inhibitor SCY-635 blocks hepatitis C virus (HCV) replication both in vitro and in vivo and represents a novel potent anti-HCV agent. However, its mechanism of action remains to be fully elucidated. A growing body of evidence suggests that cyclophilin A (CypA) is absolutely necessary for HCV replication and that the HCV nonstructural 5A (NS5A) protein s...

SCY-635, a novel nonimmunosuppressive analog of cyclosporine that exhibits potent inhibition of hepatitis C virus RNA replication in vitro.

SCY-635 is a novel nonimmunosuppressive cyclosporine-based analog that exhibits potent suppression of hepatitis C virus (HCV) replication in vitro. SCY-635 inhibited the peptidyl prolyl isomerase activity of cyclophilin A at nanomolar concentrations but showed no detectable inhibition of calcineurin phosphatase activity at concentrations up to 2 microM. Metabolic studies indicated that SCY-635 ...

Investigating effect of chamomile hydroalcoholic extract on movement disorders in the animal model of Parkinson's disease

Background & Aim:Parkinson's disease (PD) is a kind of disorder in the nervous system, which is characterized with multiple movement disorders. Factors such as oxidative stress are the most important causes for the degeneration of dopaminergic neurons in the substantia nigra and occurrence of Parkinson's disease. Thus, medications that have antioxidant functions could be an int...

The anti-inflammatory mechanism of 635 nm li... [Lasers Surg Med. 2007] - PubMed - NCBI

Inhibition of cyclooxygenase (COX) and prostaglandin E(2) (PGE(2)) protects cells against cell injury in specific pathophysiological situations: inflammation and oxidative stress. Although the anti-inflammatory effects have been reported in clinical fields for specific wavelength irradiation during wound healing, the physiological mechanism has not been clarified yet. The aim of the present stu...

Strength-endurance training with olive oil consumption on motor performance and oxidative stress level in the brain of male parkinsonian rats.

Introduction: Parkinson's disease is a chronic brain disorder that occurs as a result of the loss, reduction or damage of dopamine-producing nerve cells in the substantia nigra located in the midbrain. The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of 8 weeks of strength-endurance training with olive oil consumption on motor performance and oxidative stress level in the brain of male park...
